Compelling evidence for real miracle at last!
As you know, I'm not exactly a fan of organised religions, seeing them as run by bigots and/or charlatans, peddling at best fantasies, at worst dangerous nonsense. But this story from Hayibo.com caused me to question my deepest beliefs. JOHANNESBURG. Religious and scientific experts say there is strong evidence that Lebanese/American televangelist Benny Hinn (seen in action, left) performed a "genuine verifiable miracle" in Johannesburg on the weekend. According to the experts, Hinn and his... Read Full Story
'we're the boys who fear no noise'
Ex-soldier Victor Murtagh was awarded over €300,000 in the High Court this week to compensate for his experiences in Lebanon. With a name like Victor it's probably not surprising that he apparently 'always wanted to be a soldier', presumably attracted by the cut and thrust of battle and the adrenalin rush of taking it to the enemy. So here's the story. He joins the Irish Army and gets trained in the skills of combat. Gets posted to Lebanon in due course. But then things start to go wrong. He... Read Full Story
Happy, religious Nigerians
I read recently in, I think it was The Economist, that Nigerians are the happiest and most religious people on earth. This confused me, given the millions apparently fleeing for the lives from that country. I decided I'd ask my good friend Kwame, who works as a Diversity Co-ordinator at the Equality Agency. As always, he immediately welcomed me to his plush office, even though he was already dealing with a ‘customer’ (that's what they’re called now). ‘Yes, I know’, Kwame patiently explained... Nigerians update
My post 'Nigerians love ireland - and why not?' continues to attract comments. Here are two recent intreresting ones, one from Jason, the other from Tony. "This blog popped up in a google search and I want to add my very biased 10 cents.I am Irish and I lived in Africa. I worked in Harare, Zimbabwe for a year and whites were given a tough time and some were basically forced to leave (e.g. white farmers). I then moved to the Copper Belt in Zambia for a 2 year contract with a mining company... Read Full Story

What's in store for Ireland
London - Two British police officers were injured after some 30 teenagers, some in school uniform, attacked them "like animals" after they asked a girl to pick up a piece of litter, officers said on Friday. One of the policemen was treated in hospital for bite wounds after the attack in a shopping precinct in Croydon, south London, Wednesday. The officers, aged 34 and 29, were on sick leave with bruising and knee injuries. The teenage girl was initially asked to pick up a piece of litter... Read Full Story
From the horse's mouth
Regular readers of this blog will know that there's a Muslim rape epidemic in Europe, whereby the ratio of Muslim rapes exceeds that commit ed by locals by a ratio of 6:1. An insight into the rapists' mindset can be gleaned by a recent case from dhimmi England. A Muslim leader who claimed he was preaching at a mosque when he was really carrying out a brutal rape was jailed for ten years yesterday. Abdul Mukin Khalisadar from the East London Mosque (pictured) held a knife to his victim’s... Read Full Story
"Neighbours" too white for PC Thought Police
Thanks to Fredbarbarossa for this link "HIT Australian TV soap Neighbours has been branded “too white” by black and Asian viewers in Britain. A report by the nation’s racial equality chief found many ethnic viewers felt were under-represented in some of Britain’s most popular shows. Neighbours, which is screened on the Five network, and the BBC comedy The Vicar of Dibley starring Dawn French were singled out for being “all white”. Other popular soaps including the BBC’s Eastenders and ITV’s... Read Full Story
West's death-watch
Observing the West slowly strangling itself with insane human rights legislation (and the army of high-priced lawyers that parasite off it) is like watching someone go slowly mad, or a form of death watch. Take the way the UK courts have treated Abu Qatada, reputed to be Osama bin Laden’s ‘man in England’ and the writer of a recent book which recommends, inter alia, that Muslims have a duty to ‘terrorise non-believers’. No surprise then that he’s wanted for terrorism in his home country of... Read Full Story
Ireland and Italy - how we compare
Let's try Integration Ministers. In the Irish corner - Conor Lenihan. And in the Italian corner..... Mara Carfagna! Yes, this really is the new Italian Minister for Integration and Equality. Mara is a 32-year-old former Miss Italy contestant and television showgirl, who worked, er, under Silvio Berlusconi when she was at TV group Mediaset. OK, we didn't come out too well on that one. Now what about cycle race winners?.Tour of Italy... And.... the FBD Tour of Ireland. (Note the sweaty... Read Full Story
