Badger against bullying
Anti-bullying week starts on 17 November and an award-winning Leeds-based charity with a national remit to oppose bullying and provide support for those who get bullied, is asking for help to raise both awareness of their work and support for it.
BullyingUK is asking people to request 50 Unite Against Bullying badges from them and then pledge to sell them for £1 each. Every £3 you raise helps them to support a young person a day for a whole month.
BullyingUK has an award-winning website that is accessible to kids of all ages seeking help with bullying problems. By helping them raise funds, you can make a difference to the many thousands of people affected by bullying. As the UK’s top anti-bullying charity website, they offer information and advice to victims as well as their families, when they need it most.
Many of the young people affected by bullying believe they have nowhere else to turn; they are scared to speak out and often blame themselves. Bullying UK aims to change this by providing a service which will enable victims of bullying to break their silence, assure them that there are ways to stop the bullying and then offer them the help they need to find it.
So get some badges and badger your friends and colleagues into supporting BullyingUK!
