Viral Marketing With Blogging

Today, as I was doing my usual forum administrative duties and was basically deleting the spam that had been submitted over the last 24 hrs, my mind started to wander and I started thinking about viral marketing and blogging for some reason or another. Yeah, I guess deleting spam isn’t all that exciting so, my mind does wander from time to time.

It dawned on me that the new service with Daniel Turner and Marc Lindsay is exactly a form of viral blogging when you think about it. At first it never really occurred to me, but, knowing viral marketing concepts it came clear to me it’s precisely what the concept of viral blogging is all about.

Let me explain a little bit…

Yesterday, I began trying out the whole service that Marc and Daniel put together. I wrote an article which was an article about viral marketing. I then spun the article a few times during the submission. It did take quite a while to do the spinning. I really don’t think there will ever be a way around making this process faster, it’s just one of those things that is time consuming. It’s a great spinner, and I also have a couple others. Either way, with great tools or not, it takes quite a lot of time, unless you pay another service to do it for you. But, obviously the benefits are huge. The more versions of an article, then you will have many versions for submitting many places if you want. I mean, why not turn one article into 10 if you can.

So how about the viral marketing and blogging thing I’m talking about.

Well, after I submitted my first article it gets distributed to the entire network of user submitted blogs which are on theme with my article. A little while later I’d went and checked my stats on the article, I found out that it had already been accepted by 7 other blogs, thus far.

So when you think about it, for simply making one blog post of a particular article on your own blog you can take that same article and it gets posted on all these other blogs. You are basically extending your reach much farther for every post you make if you want. Also, for previous posts you may have made, we could also go back and spin some of those posts to and gain deep links back to your original post. This is very powerful, and when you think about it, this is a fast way to begin putting some viral blogging strategies to work for a person.

It’s been long known that by posting on other people’s blogs as a guest poster will end in a result of getting more traffic to your site simply because of the viral nature of it. Actually, it’s completely true, as I have guess posted on a few blogs before, and yes I always do notice some traffic coming back to my own blog from the original blog I’ve posted on. Most bloggers love a guest poster..it helps alleviate some of the work in keeping their own posts and blogs up to date and helps keep traffic coming in, if they are busy with other things. But, the step of either being asked to post on their blog, or in going through the motions of getting in touch with a blogger to arrange swapping posts etc. is completely eliminated.

It’s actually really starting to excite me when I think about how large this network of users is going to become over time. I think it can only get better as time goes by. Also, of course, the more articles you submit into the system….the more traffic and links you will be getting. I realize that for some readers here the outlay to join something like Article Marketing Automation may be out of reach with your monthly budget, but, if you are serious about your online business, keep it in mind in the future. It basically makes some of the tasks usually involved with viral blogging easier. It will allow anybody to get known faster, spread their blogging capabilities farther and increase your search engine rankings.  Viral blogging…..very powerful.
