Two years ago I went on a quest to find some old friends. I searched internet sites where I thought I was likely to find people – MySpace, Classmates, Amateur Porn Sites, etc. I found one or two old friends, but for the most part the experiment was a huge failure. Dear Monetization News Daily, I run a fairly popular social media site with 175 million registered users, a large percentage of who visit at least once a day. My users have filled out profiles, so I know who they are, demographically, and what they are interested in. But, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to monetize this site. Any ideas? I don’t often get depressed while reading The Onion, but today at lunch, while thumbing through the usually uplifting weekly commentary on pop culture, I happened upon an article written by a “humor columnist” Roger Dudek, that sort of made me rethink my entire existence.  The premise borders on offensive from the outset.
