Americans are battling obesity, heart disease, cancer, diabetes and many other ailments. Is it genetic? Are pesticides to blame? How about genetic engineering? There are so many studies and different theories on nutrition. Some firmly believe in a low carbohydrate diet while others believe that only eating plant products is the key... Read Full Story

On October 23, 2008, we welcome our newest whippet to the family. Her registered name is Ch. Andauer Reason to Rejoys. But we just call her Sophie. Sophie is 30 month old and is Reebok's half sister. She is also a fawn brindle. Sophie's story started about a year ago when we decided we should get another whippet. Reebok is such a great dog and we just adore him. And we thought that getting another dog would help him out with any separation anxiety issues he may have when left alone. When we... Read Full Story

Saint Augustine will always be one of my favorite places to visit in the States. I visited often when I lived in Southern Georgia. Right on the beach with lots of shopping and tourist attractions galore for the history buffs, St. Augustine also has it's darker side. This ancient city has seen it's share of tragedy. And if it's true that ghosts haunt places where they died suddenly or tragically, then St. Augustine may be one of the most haunted places in the United States.

"What's new?" I asked my local fish shop keeper.
"Oh, I just got in some really nice Farlowellas!" She replied.

The Farlowella Catfish is also known as the Twig Catfish, resembling a piece of twig or a stick. They have a suckermouth and are fairly good at attacking your algae. There are several types of Farlowella: The most common are the... Read Full Story

It's not easy to get a lot of members to join your forums and message boards. Having an active board is fun if you are lucky enough to have one. I've had a board for almost 10 years and fortunately, it's going strong. And I started a new one about year ago with almost no activity. So I know how frustrating it is to get started and maintain an active board.
This lens will be a place where you can add links to your forums or links to forums where you participate and would like to help them get... Read Full Story
