I’ve heard that a copper saved is a copper earned… World of Warcraft is full of spending opportunities, from fancy mounts and epic gear to utterly useless crap (like “Soap on a Roap” for example).
In this short article, I will go over a few (5… didn’t you read the title?) easy tips to help you earn and keep your World of Warcraft Gold for when you really need it. Epic Flying mounts are pricy, don’t you know?
Rule One : It’s not how fast you go…
When I drive somewhere, I don’t speed. Much... Read Full Story

In previous posts, I examined the possibilities — or lack thereof — of farming Runecloth in Azeroth, as opposed to the blessed Outlands.
Today, I farmed the Holy Grail of Runecloth (outside of instances, of course), the Expedition Armory. The Expedition Armory is a destroyed town just south of Honor Hold in Hellfire Peninsula.
It is a depressing kind of place, haunted by 2 types of ghosts: the nice ghosts, who just walk around and work and laugh and do other ghostly activities, and bad ghosts... Read Full Story

In Azeroth, as opposed to Outlands, farming Runecloth can be a tedious chore. There are few groups of mobs that fit my description of a good “herd” to be found anywhere.
Nonetheless, Grunman traveled from his home, squatting the Scryer’s inn in Shattrath, to the inhospitable reaches of the Western Plaguelands to offer you, my loyal (and not numerous enough) readers, a glimpse into what it is to farm for Runecloth in Azeroth and not in the bountiful lands beyond the Dark Portal.
I traveled... Read Full Story

A little while back I started publishing polls on my site. After all, 85% of web surfers agree: people like taking polls. I’ve not given it the attention it deserved however, and the results of this poll are way overdue.
So, a little recap. The questions asked was:
Why Don’t You Have As Much Gold As You Want?
And now, the results:
I’m Lazy 23%
I Hate Grinding 18%
I don’t know how to earn it 19%
I spend too much 26%
And unsurprisingly:
I’ve got all the WoW Gold I... Read Full Story

In World of Warcraft, farming refers to haunting the same area, over and over again, gathering the same resources. There are several reasons to farm: maybe you need leather, cloth or primals to level up one of your primary skills. Maybe you need these same things to sell at the Auction House to make some cash and buy some newfangled gizmo or flying mount or whatnot.
Maybe you’re farming to gather up gold so you can sell it back to your fellow WoW players for real-world cash. If you’ve read my... Read Full Story

I used to do a LOT more cloth farming, but it seems that leveling Leatherworking up to 375 is even more a pain in the … behind — let’s say — than Tailoring was, so most of my farming is now directed towards finding good leather.
There are all kinds of leathers - light, medium, heavy, thick, rugged, and of course knothide. My efforts on this day were directed towards finding Rugged Leather, so I headed to my favorite place in all of Azeroth, Winterspring.
Now Winterspring has been good to me... Read Full Story

World of Warcraft has been online now for over four years. After a couple of initial hiccups, it began running smoothly and has ever since. If you can remember that far back, you’ll recall that the previous level cap – pre Burning Crusade-was level 60. After the introduction of the Burning Crusade expansion set, the level cap was raised to 70.
You are allowed a maximum of 10 characters per server. As time goes by, the number of players that are entirely new to the game naturally diminishes... Read Full Story

Recently I have been leveling up a new character - a night elf druid. The other day, as I dealt with the Defias Brotherhood in Westfall collecting red bandanas, one of the Defias dropped some Darnassian Bleu.
Now, while Darnassian Bleu doesn’t have much in the way of benefits for a druid, as a Tauren Chef it made me think. Hmmm, wouldn’t it be great to know how to make your own cheese? Especially in the event of a life-as-we-know-it-is-ending apocalypse (such as the destruction of the... Read Full Story

Well, it’s true, the myth is confirmed.
I was running through Stormwind with my new Hunter, Carienne, who is now Level 33. I believe I was going to the trainer place but no matter. (more…)

I’ve not been writing too much recently. In fact, I’ve just realized that it already has been a full month since I posted anything, and for that I apologize.
I wish I could say that I have a real good excuse. I don’t. I started a new job, and it does take much of my time during the day, but I could still write at night, much as I’m doing now. So that’s no excuse. I can’t even claim that I’m not playing as much as I used to, because while the total hours played have dropped, I’m still playing... Read Full Story
