For the Animation-film-lovers there is no better place than an animation film festival. There you can find the latest of individual works with different techniques and styles. It is a great place to absorb the ideas and promote them to your own style. Furthermore you will find out what not to do in terms of the redundancy of what already has been done by others.
It is also a wonderful place to meet pioneer filmmakers. There are great animation film festivals around the world such as Annecy in France, Utrecht in Holland, Stuttgart in Germany, Hiroshima in Japan, Zagreb in Croatia, and Ottawa in Canada. It is wonderful when you see the old friends again who live in different places in the world and see the faces who you might have forgotten in the course of time. It is more like a family reunion for known to be admired and unknown to be recognized. But there are some obstacles too. The crowd who flows to the festival should be organized. They need accommodation and also well organized tutors to guide them through the festival’s events. Festival attendees should know how and when to start booking for flight and hotels. The sooner you book the better opportunity you will have to find better accommodation. Even to do camping would be absolutely difficult if you hadn’t booked early enough. So, plan well in advance before you go to a film festival. You will probably end up feeling that your presence in festival is a wonderful experience not a nightmare.
