Eyesght
Have just finished working on night duty on the delivery suite and it has been amazingly busy with lots of lovely babies being born. The nights went very quickly and in no time at all it was eight in the morning and the birds were singing and the best sound of all was the sound of the day shift coming on duty to take over. But, wait a minute, my eyes seemed to be not focusing very well – is it because I am tired or is it these new glasses that I have only had a few months – surely I do not need another prescription pair already? It is strange but I have noticed over the last few days and nights that I do not seem to be able to focus properly in spite of having new glasses – I really do not want to go back to my optician so I will have to find an alternative.
Another night shift finished and I really struggled to see so I am off to look on the internet to see what I can discover about eyesight problems. I know this is strange to write about on a blog about babies and midwifery but it is crucial to have good eyesight in order to carry out one’s duties safely and effectively and to be able to see the babies as they are born.
Have discovered a web site www.pinhole-glassess-direct.com that sells these amazing glasses that do not need prescription lens. They look good and they work on a similar principle to looking through a little hole made by crooking your index finger against your thumb and looking through this hole. They can make you see better in all normal circumstances (apart from driving), don’t get affected by scratches and marks – great! And they are made using the latest laser technology. The really good thing about these glasses is the fact that they don’t weaken your eye muscles which then results in you having to keep renewing your prescription lenses – just what I need so you only ever need to buy one pair. They are a really good price with quick dispatch to where ever you live.
So, I am off now to purchase a pair of these amazing glasses and will now be able to see those lovely babies even better – oh but hang on a minute – that means that I will be able to see my ‘husband with a face like he has swallowed a wasp’ a bit more clearly now – of dear!!
