Chanel with Pearls and Gunmetal

Chanel has come out with a rather ornate , baroque design. This is their canvas flap bag with pearl piping, from the current Cruise collection.



An interesting bag -- it almost looks like a homemade concoction, and the warm tone of the pearls seems to clash with cool metallic gunmetal of the hardware. It's like soft meets hard.



I would probably wear this bag, as I like to blend these two looks together -- I often wear pearls with my distressed leather jacket. However, it is made of canvas, which is a little disappointing to me. However, I think it's unusually beautiful -- a bag you come to appreciate more for its unconventionality with each passing day.
