A fresh start

This is not my first blog, nor is it my first attempt to make one here on this webpage. I always fail to be a regular poster and never seem to have much to write about, simply because I’m seeking to write about something interesting. Well, I’ve decided. I’m heading into college next month and I’m facing more change in my life than I ever have before; this seems like a good time to write everything down. From the menial to the extreme.

An introductory post seems fitting right now.

My name is Becca (or Becky, or Beck or even Bearclaw (though I would like it if you just stick to Becca)). I’m eighteen years old and am about to become a film student at Temple University. I’ve lived in Philly my whole life, but in the suburbs, mind you.

I’m an avid writer and thinker who loves stories/movies with meaning. I plan on editing movies one day as a career and maybe branching out into screenplay writing. Currently, I’m working with friends in an indie production group of ours, H5 Productions. Check us out if you like humor and drama combinations.

Growing up, I was raised Catholic, but in the last year, I’ve finally stepped up for myself and removed myself from the religion. I’m, if anything, agnostic. I just don’t believe religions are healthy or appropriate; faiths, however, are. Believe whatever you want; just don’t push your god on me.

I love arguing, watching movies, writing, hanging with friends, web design, history, music and learning. I love to bake and I’ve played the violin for (almost) nine years. I suffer from insomnia and anxiety. I complain a lot but its generally just for conversationally purposes; I don’t actually mean what I say. (XD) I want to learn French and Japanese fluently, so I can visit relatives and old family origins someday. Politically speaking, I suppose you’d label me democratic. I have a cat named Ninja. I’ve always wanted an Irish Wolfhound when I get my own place. Maybe a Pug too. I enjoy philosophy and can become very defensive and argumentative, but I’m rather silly at times, too.

My biggest dream I’ll never accomplish due to mental limitations, but if I could wish for anything? Aliens. Here. Now. Kthxbai.

There are tons of things I could say about myself, but I hope this intro helps you to understand who I am and what to expect from me.

Right now, I’m going to attempt to go to bed. >< I still haven’t gotten to a doctor about my lack of sleep. I think that might need to become a priority soon.
