Obama delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. In November 2004, he was elected to the United States Senate as a Democrat.

Recent opinion polls show that Barack Obama is the most popular choice among Democratic voters for their party's nomination in the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

He is married to Michelle Obama and he has two daughters.

Barack Obama is on a whirlwind tour of Europe. Not since Hogan's Heroes' Kinchloe has Germany seen so much of a black man. Indeed the Schwarzwald is finally living up to its name.

Sadly, since the Berlin Wall is just a fading memory, Obama was denied his chance to call himself a jelly donut or to scream "tear down that bitch of a bearing wall and put a window where it ought to be."

Angela Merkel seemed disappointed when Obama didn't play grab ass with her like Commander Guy did. It breaks your heart to see a Kraut kry.

Elsewhere on the campaign trail, John McCain was greeted by four angry old people at a Shoney's in Charleston. His speech was interrupted by the early bird special and a group of very menacing looking kids on skateboards.
