Avery elementary school is collecting hats, mittens, socks and a childs toy to help the children and families in need in Cherokee County. This came home with my childs paper work and I almost missed it myself in rushing around for the holidays. They will be collecting stuff until Friday, December 21, 2007. This is a personal question - our water heater has gone out again and we are looking into getting the tankless water heater. Hi if I was surprised at how well these kids were doing on raising money for Africa, it was before I heard the testimony last night. The whole idea was thought up by a 13 year old girl and she ran with the idea and so did the whole group of kids from 1st grade up to 6th grade. I went to church last night and was met by my daughters Pastor out in the parking lot. He wanted to check in with me and let me know what these youth (1-6 graders) had accomplished. They had scheduled a walk to support Gauna Africa and they had to get sponsors to sponsor them for each lap that they walked.
