Danica Patrick Breaks Into Indy Win Column

From:  onequartlow.com

It was a rather long time coming, but Danica Patrick finally broke into the Indy win column with a thrilling victory in the Indy Japan 300 on Sunday. After some 50+ races the 26 year old finally got into the winner’s circle out “fuel strategizing” her opponents. As most headed to the pits for the final few laps, Danica eschewed the fuel up and went on to pass polesitter Helio Castroneves to bring home the trophy. In so doing, Danica becomes part of Indy car history becoming the first female Indy car winner in the history of the sport. Only breaking into the scene a short three years ago, Danica continues to set records and attack one of the most rigidly stereotyped industries in modern sport. There is little doubt Danica Patrick has arrived and clearly belongs.
