Are ads like these annoying to anyone else? It seems like every site you visit will have ads like this somewhere on the page.  Always promoting “secrets” that “experts” don’t want you to know about. Food for Thought

I’m a proud daddy.  My little girl is 8 months old and is now crawling.  Pretty exciting stuff.  Here she is having a mouthful of something.  Probably bananas.  My wife and I obviously try to take care of the little one as best we can.  That includes feeding her healthy food, making sure she gets her naps, and making sure she’s as happy as can be.    While we were feeding her the other day I started to think about how when our kids are babies, we feed them such good stuff.  Mashe... Run and Food

Had a decent run tonight.  Did 5 miles in 44:45.  Followed it up with this for dinner.  Found this recipe earlier in the day and it turns out we had everything we needed to make it.  It didn’t turn out exactly like it looks in the picture (my sauce was a bit darker) but it still tasted good and the wife liked it.  Had a bunch of steamed broccoli with it too.  So good.  Read Full Story

Are You Depressed? Check Your Eating Habits

Researchers in London have found a link between eating a diet high in processed, fatty food and depression.  Their research is published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. Interesting.  Based on their findings, those who ate mostly whole foods (fresh fruits, veggies, fish, etc.) had a 26 percent lower risk of depression than those who ate mostly processed, fatty foods. Who Likes Mushrooms?

When was the last time you had mushrooms?  If it has been a while, you may wanna grab some.  They’re good for you! I don’t remember liking them much as a kid, but now I want them every night.  I don’t know how else to prepare them, so I usually just slice them and cook them in a pan and add them to grilled chicken.  If there’s leftover, I’ll throw them in an omelet the next day with other veggies.  Any other ideas on what else to do with mushrooms?
