It’s like walking through a Maze

Don’t you just hate it when your local supermarket decides to rearrange all the aisles?

I don’t know if you’re like me, but when I go shopping for groceries (something I hate doing), I like to get in and get out as fast as possible. Today after work, I needed to stop off at the local IGA for 3 simple items – bread, milk and coffee. Since I’ve shopped here a number of times I know where everything is – at least I did until today. It seems that they decided to completely rearrange every aisle in the store so that it took me forever to find what I was looking for.

Believe it or not, they do this on purpose. A friend of mine that works in the industry told me that supermarkets do this because of people like me who get used to the place. It seems they want you to be going up and down every aisle searching because in this way you’ll end up buying things you wouldn’t normally buy. Well, it didn’t work this time! I stuck to my original plan and walked out of there with only the 3 items I had gone for. The only thing is, it took me 15 minutes or so more than I would have spent if some idiot hadn’t decided to rearrange everything.
