World-Famous CrockPot Chili Recipe
Well, not world-famous, but in my circle of family and friends, I am known for making a mean mess of chili. I thought I would share my recipe with you. The secret is cooking it in a slow cooker or crock pot for at least 4 hours so that the beans get good and soft and the hamburger meat melts in your mouth. Yum! Ingredients: 2 Cans of Bushs Chili Beans (I use Mild) (small cans) 1 Can of Bushs dark red kidney beans  (small cans) 1-2 pounds of ground beef or chuck 1 packet of Chili Season... Read Full Story
Chasing The Fog
Chasing The Fog. Sounds like a book title, doesn't it? Nope. It is what I did yesterday morning. I never knew Fog was so hard to catch! Yesterday morning, I came home after a 14 hour night shift to find The Hubs sick as a dog, so it was up to me to get Monkey off to school. As I drove him to school, I noticed that about 4 miles from the house, the fog was dense AND someone was burning something, causing a thick mist to surround the barren trees. It was picture perfect. I had to get a photo o... Read Full Story

Free Fonts!!
Lately I have had some projects going on that simply required more interesting fonts than what I had on hand, so I went on a search. My favorite place to find new fonts is KevinandAmanda.com. Amanda is quite creative and offers free goodies a lot on her blog, so you just have to check it out. I thought I would share my list with you. If you have any to add, leave them in the comments and I will probably end up making a "Free Fonts" button on my sidebar....one of these days.  Da... Read Full Story

A Child's Perspective
When Monkey asks a question and I don't know the answer, his answer used to be be: "But you're a nurse, you know lots of fings". The other day, we went somewhere and my husband and I were chatting with a nurse. When I mentioned that I was a nurse too, Monkey spouted off with this little zinger: "Nuh-Uh, You used to be a nurse. Now you work in a prison. So you're not a nurse anymore". Try explaining to your six year old that you are still a nurse even if you don't work in a hospital, or go to... Read Full Story
