For the last 62 years the people of Norway have kindly donated a Christmas tree to the British people in recognition for their help and support during WW2. The tree has always stood in pride of place in Trafalgar Square and for most Londoners the lighting of the tree usually around the 4th December heralds the Christmas countdown.
The tree provides a backdrop to the many free
Carol Services that both tourists and Londoners can enjoy in the traditional run up to Christmas. Many of these services raise money for worthwile causes and are well worth attending if you are in the area.
If you want to experience traditional festive cheer in the heart of London then this is a spectacle that should be top of your agenda.
Do you plan on attending any events over the Christmas Holidays, or do you prefer the comfort of your own home at Christmas time? ![]()
