Farewell Entrecard !

I have decided to leave the Entrecard community and have disabled Entrecard widget advertising on my blog. Pending adverts will be honoured and as soon as there are no more in the queue, I will remove the widget and close my account.
I have found some truly great blogs and made some excellent friends during my time with Entrecard and have enjoyed interacting with you all.
My number one reason for leaving is the time it takes to drop 300 cards a day, in my case about an hour and a half from bookmarked folders of 30 x 10 sites.
I would like to thank all of my regular droppers and will miss dropping on you, but feel my time would be better utilised elsewhere.
Since I’ve been using EntreCard I have become concerned about the bounce rate. You want visitors that will actively take part in your blog, not visit and leave a few seconds later, and the time constraints of dropping 300 cards a day ensures that the vast majority of your Entrecard visitors will drop and run. Since I have made this decision I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders as I am no longer a slave to Entrecard.
I am going to get traffic the old fashioned way. By spending more time on social networking sites visiting more blogs that truly interest me, spending more time, and commenting on them when I feel so inclined.
I have nine adverts left to run on my blog before I close my Entrecard account and will be donating the balance of my EC credits to anyone who leaves a comment on this post. The winner will be picked at random by my wife!
