It has been awhile since I have posted a blog here. The main reason has been me allocating less time on updating all kinds of social networking tools and services we have offered to us. For popularity of the content I share, Facebook has well and truly won. On Facebook I have been getting between 10 and 50 new fans every day so it has become a priority audience where I share Notes, Photos, Video Clips, Links, Event notices and post comments. I will still post here on this blog a few times a... Read Full Story

A dream was fulfilled when our Two Worlds Tree Labyrinth was built and usable. Our labyrinth is not of a traditional design but completely an inspiration that synthesizes many traditions that have become inner instincts over my past 55 years. For me, this is an expression of instinct and tradition collected since when I started my focus on ritual and the divine as a wee boy. - I am always asked Where do they come from, is a hastily followed question, but origins can only be guessed. What they... Read Full Story

About … The venue was the Seamus Ennis Centre right in the centre of Naul Village, formerly Co. Dublin and now Co. Fingal as this is several miles north of Dublin. The Seamus Ennis Centre is dedicated to the piper Seamus Ennis. The frontage is a restored thatched cottage that serves as a wonderful cafe and visitor’s centre. Behind this is like a large portacabin converted into a very pretty performance area. It is club with round tables seating 4 or 5 people around a table. There is a stage... Read Full Story

Introduction to Carrowkeel, Co Sligo Carrowkeel, Co. Sligo is a townland on the northern part of the Bricklieve (Breac Shliabh) Mountains and is home to the remains of 14 stone age passage cairns, three of which can be entered into comfortably. There were probably many more here. Through online social sites, especially through Facebook and YouTube you will often read and hear me refer to Carrowkeel and the cairns from a mythological approach, especially around Summer Solstice, when the... A Sound Accord teacher friend, Gabrielle brought my attention to a beautiful writing on a web page of Tony Crowley. His writing is his interpretation of Anam Cara, a Gaelic term of “Soul Friend” http://celticwisdomnow.com/AnamCara.htm This was shared with a group of wonderful people who toured Ireland together and have remained close friends since, with a few reunions too. I was immediately drawn to respond to this, and this is what I wrote … Why love does not need a name When folks arrive in... Read Full Story

I enjoy using Facebook I like to use Facebook for posting short comment blogs, photos and linking to my YouTube videos. Being social, I especially like Facebook for reading, viewing and listening to what others have to post and sometimes this spontaneously erupts into lively debate. I learn a lot from what is posted on Facebook. It seems there is a constant protest over protection of information posted, and the possibility that Facebook will introduce a fee for using their services. To me... Read Full Story

As many readers here will know I had a stroke a few weeks ago That kept me in hospital for over 2 weeks, but I was lucky. Celtic Dreamtime and Celtic Ways will carry on, but there will be essential changes and some very nice new projects being launched,to more than compensate what I now have to back down from. Recovery :-) Though I entered hospital quite paralysed, a Christopher Reeves experience, my back and right side recovered mobility within 24 hours, my left arm within 2 days, and left... Every few weeks Facebook makes changes They have to as a path of discovery that works best with the users while helping them cope with the vast increase of subscribers along with a need to sustain cashflow so that we continue to have a free Facebook service. Morning I had plans to get into exploring early, but Claire was desperate for a sleep in and I had a lot of online work to do. Then a radio station called to ask for an interview with us at 3:30 pm. The sun outside was getting warmer and warmer, and I was getting cabin fever, and wanted out around town. Claire was keen to honour the radio interview and have a bit more resting before. So I sorted out the cameras, on with the hat and off I went … Exploring I Go First, I headed for the beach... Read Full Story
