I have three young kids, 5, 3, and 15 months. I have a very well trained German Shepherd (2 years)and a Australian Shepherd puppy (3 months.) I have taught the GSD to fetch a juice box out of the fridge, find the kids favorite stuffed toy before bed, and go get the kids socks. I am wondering what else I could train them. C, I did a dog grooming course through PennFoster. It is all book work but you obtain all the necessary knowledge to run and own a business. You also learn how to properly groom dogs. After that I got a job as a bather and part time groomer to gain experience. I asked my boss to critique me so I can get better. We lost our 4th Golden Retriever in December at the tender age of 3 due to cancer. We love the breed, but after the loss of this last one so young, we are looking for breeders that are testing the parents in hopes of finding a pup with "hopefully" a better chance of living a normal life that should be to age 10 to 12.
