It seems to me that when I do the research that the airline that consistently has the best price LAX to BKK is China Air. They put their best planes on this run and they fill them up regularly. In Asia Cheap hotels they all use point of use hot water heaters and they work very well and very cheap on energy use. The reason that we allways hear on why nobody uses them in the US is that they don't work well with cold water. It never occurs to anyone that the solution to this is to leave the old hot water heaters in and just use them as pre heaters.
