Starting August 16, 2008 the TSA (Transportation Safety Administration) will begin allowing laptops to stay in their bags while passing through security checkpoints at airports nation wide.  Of-course there are new requirements that must be meet before attempting to pass through security with your computer still in the bag.

Oil prices fell on Wednesday to a three month low of $112.31 a barrel before climbing over $3, closing at $116.  For the past few weeks, oil has fallen sharply, dropping more then $34 a barrel from the record high of $147 a barrel on July 11.

Fighting intensified Saturday as Russian fighter jets attacked a Georgian town that left hundreds dead. Meanwhile in the breakaway province of South Ossetia where the conflict began Friday, Russian tanks and troops rumbled in to prevent Georgia from retaking control of its breakaway region.

Okanagan B.C. — Earlier this week Lock Ness’s North American cousin, Ogopogo was spotted for the fifth time since April in the waters of Lake Okanagan.
