It was no coincidence that USAir flight 1549 went down in New York’s Hudson river back on January 15, just days before President-Elect Obama was to be sworn in as President. U.S. - Just as the House passed a revised version $700 Billion bailout bill 263 to 171 on Friday, the stock market dropped sharply.
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank will keep using “all of the powers at our disposal” to ease the credit crisis after Congress approved a $700 billion rescue of the financial industry.
