Royal Navy endangers planet
Further in our continuing coverage of pirate news, you might think this development is good for the world in general: After an attack on the Danish ship MV Powerful, Somali pirates fired on British commandos who were of course heavily armed. After a couple of pirates died in the hail of fire, the frightened remainder quickly gave way.
By the time the Royal Marines boarded the pirates’ vessel, the enemy had lost the will to fight and surrendered quietly. The Royal Navy described the boarding as “compliant”.
What's left unsaid, however, is the vital role that pirates play in the prevention of global warming. According to the IPCC, global warming is linked directly to the long-term decrease in the number of pirates in the sea.

If the Royal Navy can't make a more responsible effort to honor the dangers to the planet of reducing this vital cooland, the UN is considering a statement of "grave concern". The corner is being turned on global warming, and this is no time to be reversing the encouraging progress made so far. As long as they were left alone to ply their trade and increase their numbers, global temperatures were beginning to drop. Headlines from before the pirates were reduced in number:

Don't wait until the campaign against pirates causes an irreversible tipping point!
