Sam

I was deeply saddened to learn that our friend, colleague, fellow blogger, beer drinking buddy and the certified all around artful dodger of Dodgy Business, Sam Shimek, has passed over the Great Divide.

Sam suffered a major heart attack and then could not recover from the emergency surgery. I have not yet gotten all the details surrounding his sudden departure. I will report them as they come in.

Sam was my friend. We have shared many an e-mail list, gotten together and spent time as guests in each others homes. He was a good blues guitarist and avid bicyclist. As a fellow guitar player I would like to hope that he took his axe with him but knowing Sam as I do, he is probably riding his bike across the ethereal plane looking for the edge of his new existence. I shall miss his words, his wisdom, and his friendship.

Goodbye old buddy.
