Wishing all our readers a happy, safe & sane July 4th Independence Day Holiday.Trying to stay within the boundaries of our resolve not to discuss politics, one can't help but be aware of the irony of this celebration. As we enjoy our holiday and the kids look forward to the fireworks tonight or tomorrow, it's important to note that the freedoms of independence (from our own and other governments) our ancestors fought so hard to gain are now being freely given away with nary a whimper. How... Read Full Story

A blogger's view of David Caruso:"For dinner the four of us go to Carney’s in Studio City. It is a Sante Fe railroad car converted into a hot dog stand. Only 5 tables and one other family there – an Hispanic women, a child, her elderly mother and a man. It was hard not noticing the man’s flaming orange hair; we recognized him as David Caruso from the CSI TV series. I was struck by how gentle and helpful he was to his child – not at all like his tough-man image. We ga... Read Full Story

RIP, HP. When the dreaded time comes, we're usually in a perpetual state of shock. Why? We knew, for a very long time. That knowledge became increasingly more apparent in recent weeks. Now, it has happened. Are we grieving? Absolutely not. We are pissed. At ourselves for not making the final decision earlier; at anyone near and dear who didn't harass us into action before the inevitable became a reality. Our pc is on its last, wobbly legs. Somewhere in the dark recesses we were aware this cpu ... Read Full Story

Remember the 100th episode of CSI Miami, "Death Pool 100"? Morbid though the topic is, the reality is that such lotteries do exist. Gambling on the odds of a celebrity dying at a relatively early age can bring big payoffs.Ann Donahue and Elizabeth Devine, who wrote the episode for CSI Miami, didn't pull the backdrop scenario from thin air. The concept is not a new one; however, it's grown to global proportions due to the internet. There are numerous websites dedicated to death pools; Howard ... Read Full Story

Aw! Aren't they adorable? It's sad to have to acknowledge that it takes a bit of a search to find something to smile about among all the 3 D's** we read or hear most days. This is one of the exceptions. **death, divorce, devastation.Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, with son, James Wilkie, introduced their new twin girls to the world: Marion Loretta Elwell (with Mom) and Tabitha Hodge (with Dad). Born June 22nd, it appears Mom and Dad know how to keep the paparazzi at bay. Smart mov... Read Full Story

Reported today on several sites is the news that both Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay will return to Law and Order SVU with a new 2 year contract. Of course, the show has only been renewed for the 2009-2010 year; however, if that is extended beyond, they will be onboard for a second year. And a collective sigh of relief can be heard throughout the land by anxious fans who feared they would be replaced. Never fear, folks. They are back.In addition, Christine Lahti will appear in the first 4 ... Read Full Story

Our favorite scene in CSI Miami's Season 7 is in "Seeing Red", showing Horatio Caine (David Caruso) with the dying deputy. It was one of the finest pieces of television drama we've seen in a long while. We'd match it any day or time with Grissom's (William Petersen) reaction to Warrick's death on CSI LV. The two scenes provide an interesting contrast. The view of many, that each trauma must be over dramatized, is absurd to the max. Television is an intimate, one-... Read Full Story
