Had to share.. from a friend:
Dear Steven Harper,
Please find below my suggestions for fixing the CANADIAN economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to banks that squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about Ten million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $2 million each with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Ten million job openings – unemployment fixed... Read Full Story

Our full moon hides behind a bank of storm clouds tonight. It peeks out and then sneaks back in, covered by a mass of gray. There’s something about doing evening chores under the soft glow of a full moon that makes everything seem new and pleasant. She rises slowly over the tree tops, seemingly out of nowhere. She watches as we muck about in boots with buckets and bags, through dirt and mud and poo. She watches the night unfold on our little farm.
She watches as Brianne throws hay and grain... Read Full Story

An editorial by Coyne in the Montreal Gazette on the Caterpillar closing of the Electro-Motive Diesel locomotive plant in London, Ont.
The union and far-left media has been enraged and have taken a few liberties with the truth.. in fact their whole argument is based in outright lies.
1) Caterpillar was absconding with a vast storehouse of intellectual property developed at “London’s 90-year-old EMD” — patents, technology, equipment, trade secrets, manufacturing processes, the works.
EMD... Read Full Story

The sweet little Sebastopol gosling, we picked up on the way to a sheep show last March, is all grown up now. How do we know this? Well, we found this gigantic egg outside the barn yesterday morning. And I do mean gigantic. Poor little girl…the egg measured just over 3 ¼-inches. OUCH! Brianne was so excited when she bounded through the back door clutching Sophia’s inaugural egg.
But, our delight was tempered by the knowledge that even though Sophia is laying eggs there won’t be any goslings... Read Full Story

I love it when people ask me about ‘Spirituality in business.’
They are not concepts that traditionally go together, yet I see them as almost inseparable. Why? We are Spiritual Beings. As such, it would be natural for us to express that in everything we do, including a business or workplace. When you factor in all the brilliance, collaboration, creativity, imagination, and wisdom it takes to run a successful business, it seems only natural for us to want to include ALL of our selves – our...
