Edgar Apollo's Christmas Special Countdown #8!
Bet you didn’t believe me when I said fast and furious huh? Well boo-ya, this is the time of year when you have to believe so check it out, we’re at #8 on Edgar Apollo’s Christmas Special Countdown. People who know me know that I am a sucker for funny voices. And this cartoon has some of the best voice acting I think I’ve ever heard in animation. I’m serious, it’s that good. #8 on Edgar Apollo’s Christmas Special Countdown is The Rugrats Santa Experience!

Chucky Finster? Tommy Pickles? Phil and Lil whatever their names are? Just saying their names and thinking of their little idiosyncratic voices makes me smile with delight. But seriously, this Christmas Special is surprisingly astute for a children’s program. The plot centers around Chucky’s insistent fear of Santa and Angelica’s insistent greed for toys as the kids and parents go to the mountains to celebrate a real white Christmas. It’s a fairly simple premise, which I guess is the reason why I only rated it #8 on the countdown. It doesn’t really feel like much is happening and before you know it, it’s over. Which is cool I guess. This one is for the folks who want something nice and simple, like a shot of Christmas spirit without too much bric a brac. Whatever, for fans of the show Rugrats, this special definitely attains the same caliber.
I will say however, that Angelica is one cold hard bitch. She’s so fucking conniving for a 3 year old! I mean I was probably kinda mean at that age too, but certainly not that smart. This bitch plots Phil and Lil against each other better than Napoleon. I don’t want to give away the ending, but eventually Angelica gets her comeuppance and man is that satisfying.
But gosh if it ain't your lucky day because someone actually posted this special on Youtube! But I guess your day isn't that lucky because they forgot to post the first part. So enjoy the second two parts of this special below.
