UPDATE:

The authorities are skeptical.  The “B” is backwards on her cheek - which it would be if she carved it herself in the mirror.  It wouldn’t be backwards if the assailant was above her head when carving.  If it is a hoax, you can only be amazed at the level of stupidity involved.  Scar your own face, hurt whatever cause you were trying to help, and become an internet legend and dumbass all in one fell swoop.  However, she deserves the benefit of the doubt until the investigation proves otherwise.  The original report claimed the attack happened in the view of the ATM cameras - seems like the video evidence should be there…..or not.
