On May 12, 2008 I made my first entry to this blog. At the time I was a stranger to the blog world and, to be quite honest, had no interest in blogging. In the past 2 1/2 years I've faithfully made blog entries sharing everything and anything that was a part of my world. It didn't take me long to fall in love with the entire concept of blogging. We've had the Christmas tree up and decorated for a while now. It's in the corner on the other side of my desk. It's huge. Once it was fluffed up and situated, it stood only a few feet from my desk. Last week we made the decision to put a halt on the renovations. Between our work schedules we had no time. We were a couple weeks behind putting up the Christmas tree and decorations. It's a little after 1am and I'm sitting at my desk drinking an iced coffee. What I really should do is go to bed and get some much needed sleep. I went back and forth for a bit. Coffee. Sleep. A lot of people have asked me in the past week how the renovations are going. When we were renovating the living room I made frequent updates on Facebook and Twitter. It became a story of sorts. Each year I challenge myself. How long can I hold off before I have to turn the heat on. It's a game of sorts. If Mother Nature gives us a mild Autumn then I'm in luck. I was looking through my daily planner this morning and going through some scattered notes. With work being extremely busy and renovations underway, time management is crucial. October is the month that kicks off my baking frenzy. I start with baking anything and everything that involves apples. The house smells of apple bread, apple pies, apple crisp and apple muffins. I don't usually make a habit of purchasing items when I'm working. However, once in a while, a one day only deal rolls along that is too good to pass up. Only a few hours remain until it expires. It's either purchase then or miss out. Last night was one of those moments. I've lost nearly 80 pounds. About 7 years ago I bought 2 pairs of lounge pants. I'm not usually one for bright clothing or ones with prints on them, but I was drawn to these. One pair is bright blue & turquoise stripe and the other is bright pink and orange stripe. The stripes are vertical. I would stand out in a crowd if I wore them in public.
