ElectronHut.com Launches Santa's Wild! Slots for iPhone and iPod Touch

Electron Hut (www.ElectronHut.com/iphone) has done it again. The first release of Santa's Wild! Slots is now available on the iTunes stores for only $1.99.

I purchased this new slot machine game through the iTunes store using my MacBook Pro and it works perfectly. I'm running the game on the original iPhone I purchased on launch day which has the 2.2 version of the iPhone OS installed. While I don't own an iPod Touch yet it should work perfectly on that device as well.

One of the most exciting features is the ability to "shake" the phone to spin the reels. Any time you shake the iPhone hard enough Santa's Wild! Slots presses the Bet Max button for you. You don't even have to touch the screen to play! How cool is that?

For those folks who love games that exploit the unique features of the iPhone, several cool touch features are available in Santa's Wild! Slots. The game supports a three-finger gesture, one finger on each reel, to spin. Simply place three fingers over the reels and pull down hard enough. In addition, you can stop the reels by touching them. The order in which you stop them doesn't matter either. Finally, you'll notice that "flicking" each reel will cause it to spin in either direction. This allows you to see exactly what items are available on the reel itself by dialing backwards or forwards just like the Urban Spoon application.

Santa's Wild! Slots also plays traditional Christmas music along with sleigh bell sounds while the reels spin and stop. I figured out you can listen to the whole song by pressing the little round info button. My guess is this is a feature so those who like the music can listen to it anytime they like. Nice touch indeed!

Electron Hut made some pretty amazing games for the Palm series of handheld devices such as the Palm Treo back in the day. The previous set of games included not only slot games but multiple card games such as Free Cell and Klondike. Perhaps Electron Hut will do the same for iPhone and iPod Touch soon too. That would rock!

Congratulations to Electron Hut on the launch of their first game for iPhone and iPod Touch. I'm confident Santa's Wild! Slots will make many people happy. The timing of the release couldn't be more perfect either today being only a few day before Christmas.
