In my opinion Core Synergisitics is the most difficult workout in the P90X program. This workout is only done during the recovery weeks unless you are doing the lean version of the program and then it is done every week.
You should start doing the exercises in Core Synergisitcs without waits when you first begin. As the workout becomes easier add weight to increase the intensity. It won’t take much.
Here’s a list of the exercises in this workout…

I read this article in my Team Beachbody newsletter and thought I would pass it around.

There have always been rumors spread about food. Remember the one about the Kentucky Fried rat or Mikey, the kid from the Life cereal commercials, who allegedly expired after washing down his Pop Rocks with a Coca-Cola? These, like so many, turned out to be apocryphal, but now in the age of the Internet, it seems like there’s always some story making the rounds about a grocery item that... Read Full Story

I have seen a number of people who are concerned about the sugar content of the P90X Recovery Drink, so I thought I would explain a little about the key components of this drink.

I thought I would post some videos some of the friends that I have met over at Team Beachbody (formerly known as Million Dollar Body). They have a monthly contest where you can enter and they pic 4 men and 4 women. One man and one woman win $10,000 and the other six win $1,000. Not bad :).
Here’s Tami who won $1,000 in Oct. 2007.
Tami and her husband started getting into shape after the birth of their fourth child. When Tami became severely ill, her doctor attributed her recovery to... Read Full Story

P90X Back and Biceps is another workout that you start doing during the second phase if you are following the classic or the doubles version of the program.
Talk about getting a pump going in your biceps. Your arms are going to burn after (and during) this workout. Back and Biceps consists of 24 exercises. You are going to start with a variation of a pull-up and then do a weighted back exercise. Then you are going to do 2 bicep exercises.
There are variations of pull-ups that I think most... Read Full Story

Day 191 - I continued my P90X+ workouts by doing Total Body Plus. Great workout.
Day 192 - As always, Wednesdays are my yoga days. Had a great yoga session. This workout always revitalizes me for the rest of the week.
Day 193 - I thought I would change things up tonight. I got a new kettlebell dvd “The Exteme Kettlebell Cardio Workout” and I did this instead of doing Upper Plus and Abs Core Plus. This was a very challenging workout. I am sitting here only a few hours after c... Read Full Story

I guess I have unofficially began a round of P90X+. I was waiting for my wife to finish her round of P90X and then we were going to start a round of P90X+ together, but I got bored, so I will just have my round be a week longer.
Sunday, Day 189 - I did Upper Plus and Abs Core Plus today. Upper Plus is much different than any of the P90X resistance workouts because you are lifting for a period of time instead of reps, so you are lifting for 60 - 90 seconds in most cases so you are using ligh... Read Full Story

Once you start phase 2 of P90X you will start to mix things up a little. This is where the whole muscle confusion concept comes into play. Instead of doing Chest & Back on day 1, you will switch to Chest, Shoulders, and Tris. This workout will nail your chest like never before. Even strong individuals who are used to doing a lot of push-ups may find themselves dropping to their knees in order to get through the workout.
This workout has 8 rounds of three exercises. You do a chest exe... Read Full Story

I have gotten lazy about posting my workout log lately so here it is…
Day 184 - I did P90X+ Upper Plus and Abs Core Plus. I don’t want to get into P90X plus too much yet because I haven’t finished reviewing all of the P90X workouts yet, but this was a nice change of pace and the ab workout was great. If you can’t wait for my P90X+ review go here to find out more.
Day 185 - This was Yoga X day. I decided to keep this as my yoga day and it makes sense because it falls... Read Full Story
