New Product Review: HIP Kohl Eyeliner and Color Presso

Here's my opinion on the L'oreal High Intensity Pigment Kohl eyeliners: loved the concept but, hated the reality. I've always wanted to try Kohl eyeliner ever since I found out about Guerlain's more expensive version. I love how the women in India are able to create these elaborately lined eyes with a loose powder formula. I cannot tell you how extremely excited I was to get this package from Total Beauty and L'oreal because I was so eager to try these out.
Now, on to the problem: this liner seems amazing (in theory). However the actual execution of the product takes much finesse. Its a wonderful eyeliner if you have the time to sit there and figure out how to draw perfect, thin--or thick-- lines around your lids. However, it is not the best product for rushing to class, a party or work.
I also had a major problem with the flecks getting everywhere, except on my eyes. The product has little to no staying power; it just flaked off everywhere and before my day was over with, I had more black freckles. Your best bet is to use an eyelid primer to even get somewhat of a smooth, uniform look.
I tried the Gold (#09) one out with my Face Of The Day (FOTD) on June 18. I paired it up with my Clinique Colour Eye Surge eyeshadow trio in Rain Forest. I liked the look of the gold paired up with the moss green contour and pale green shadows.

The HIP Color Presso in Trendy was simply blah.
Blah on the lips. Blah with my face. Blah watery formulation.
Neither of the two shades in the container were inspiring, at all. To be frank, they might have looked better if paired on a more extreme complexion, be it a alabaster shade lady or a kohl brown female. For us bronzed girlies the shade, Trendy, is a miss. There wasn't even enough color for me to notice a change in my lips; it was like using glossy chapstick.
I also couldn't STAND the cap. UGH!!! Do you know how long it took for me to figure out how to get that annoying sucker off?
The dispenser at the bottom broke off first before I got that stupid cap off. Seriously, companies don't need to make a good product's packaging more complicated than it needs to be. If you have faith in a product, then keep it simple and easy to obtain.
Anyway, you can see what I mean by "blah" down below on my face of the day.
