Appraising jewelry, where to go, what to expect, how much does it cost?
I have an antique ring given to me and would like to get it insured.
I wanted to know how much it costs to get jewelry appraised and what to expect from a reputable place.
Also, where do I look for something like that?
It is a platinum ring, but the metal is very ornate, almost like lattice all over the ring. It has a large and uniquely shaped diamond in the center with large bagette chips... Read Full Story

We have just finished renovating our house it has a lovely big garden ~100ft long that now looks like a mud bath. We really enjoy having a garden so are debating whether to pay for garden design to help us get it right. I’m not sure if we have enough left in the budget to do this and whether the money would be better spent on the garden itself. So opinions and approximate costs in the east midlands area would be appreciated. Read Full Story

I’m looking to update my 1956 cabinets with new hardware and a fresh coat of paint, but I really dislike the look of the exposed hinges. Do they make hidden self-closing hinges that I can use to replace the 3/8 inset exposed hinges? What are they called and where an I find them? do they require any modifications? Thanks a bunch! does landscape gardening involve more than just planting things.?
Do you have to draw plans and grafts.
There is a lot involved in landscaping a yard. You have to determine your soil type, amount of sun, how you are going to use your yard, how you plan to water everything (irrigation, drip system, etc) how much work you are willing to put in to maintaining your yard (will you have help, hire a yard service, etc). You have to plant the right plants for your zone/your... Read Full Story
