Adding a Conservatory

With Spring supposedly here many people are looking at booking holidays, getting out in the garden or adding a conservatory to their home in order to enjoy the Summer months in a more relaxed area of their home. 

Conservatories can of course bring added value to your house and also give you the bonus of having an extra room which you can store the kids toys or other items that you have crammed into an exsisting room. 

At one time having a consevatory meant you had a very hot room during the summer months and a very cold room during winter. With modern conservatories this has been overcome by adding conservatory blinds, the use of Low E Glass which helpfully also reduces condensation or by having Anti Sun glass installed.

DIY conservatories are without a doubt the cheapest way for you to add a conservatory to your own home, you are not paying the installers wages, you have  full control over the building of the conservatory base and  erecting of the conservatory. You will be wise to check with your local council to see if you require planning permission before you make a start though, as it would be a shame to put in hours of work only to find you have to pull it all down again.
