A little bit of preparation can go a long way in avoiding a car insurance claim as new research reveals that millions of motoring repairs are self-inflicted. Research from a car insurance company revealed that millions of drivers are racking up costly repair bills or expensive insurance claims because of their own poor habits - the study found that more than three quarters of motorists (78 per cent) fail to keep up with regular maintenance such as checking tyre pressures. Younger drives in particular are likely to face whopping repair bills.
