Need a Tow?
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
So a few days ago, my mom’s car broke down on the way to dinner with some old family friends. We some how make it to the place by coasting for like a mile and, had a wonderful dinner and then had to call AAA to tow the car back to the house. Talk about stressful! We road home in the tow truck which shook most of the time and made me nervous the whole way home. So now we are renting a car for the week. Of course our car broke down right when we really needed it! I just got back from a trip to... Read Full Story
5-Star in Pittsburgh
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
I’m sorry it’s been so long since you’ve heard from me, but this past week I’m currently at Robert Morris University in Moon Township, PA (right outside Pittsburgh) for 5-Star Basketball. I just finished up one camp here and tomorrow will start their Academic All-American Camp. The Academic All-American Camp is 5-Star’s regular camp, but they also help kids understand the NCAA Clearinghouse and what it takes to be eligible to play in college. This past week, I helped run the Canteen. We sold... Read Full Story
Why Do I Wanna Become a College Basketball Coach?
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
As a college student, I’m always asked what I wanna do after graduation? My answer is always the same, a college basketball coach. This is always followed by why college? Why not in the pros?  I want to coach college for the simple reason of that I want to work with college students. Now this is not saying that I won’t coach high school or the pros, but college is my preferance. For the past two years, I’ve been a manager with the Lynn University Men’s Basketball program, with this past... Read Full Story
Photos of Campus
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
In a recent blog I asked you if there were any aspects on campus you would like to see. Kristopher left me a comment asking to see more of the facilities on campus, and also the dorm rooms. Lynn does not have Upperclassman dorms, all dorms are open to any student class, however, we operate on a lottery system. The higher the amount of credits you have, the sooner you get to choose your dorm room. Thus the Upperclassman have first choice, however, due to the cost difference in the residence... Words to Describe California
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
During the school year it is rare that I have a Saturday to sleep in; a day to wake up and just do whatever I feel like doing. Being in California I have treasured these moments. I woke up today with no agenda, schedule or anticipation of what the day might be like. I missed Jade and Maulik’s phone call to go to the Ocean Beach Street Fair because I slept in, but needless to say the day was not wasted. I went to the mall and got some cards. My grandpa’s birthday is coming up and a couple of... Read Full Story
Late for Work
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
This morning it was my opportunity to run the Wednesday morning meeting. If you have ever worked in events or with conferences before than you would be familiar with these meetings. This meeting is the time for us to go through the next two weeks of conferences and discuss all of those conferences that are currently in house. All areas on campus are at this meeting to find out all updates on resident counts, commuter counts, meal plans, facilities, etc.   Of course the morning that I am... Read Full Story
Sibling Trickery
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
Siblings have a special bond–one that involves lots of teasing. Me and my sister’s relationship is based entirely on teasing, I’m sure. Now that Christopher is old enough, he and I sort of gang up on her. But apparently, I’ve taught him too well… My little brother pulled a trick on me today that I’ve been pulling on my sister for years. She finally lost some of her gullibility and it doesn’t work anymore, but it looks like my level of gullibility has increased. Mom was telling us today that... Read Full Story

From:  blogs.lynn.edu
So, I don’t mean to boast by any means, but I must say that I do have the most interesting, exciting, and captivating job around. And if you thought I wasn’t lucky enough to actually enjoy what I do, I also work for the best, most interesting, and most generous team ever. Working in the Office of Marketing at Lynn, I know has just set me up for disappointment when I enter my next job. I have really landed myself a winning position in the Office of Marketing. What other team would send a... Read Full Story
Dicks Last Resort

Most people know how critical I am when it comes to anything concerning hospitality. However, when we went out tonight I had to put that all aside. Dicks Last Resort is in downtown San Diego. Other locations include Boston, San Antonio, Chicago, Dallas, Myrtle Beach, and Las Vegas. The slogan for the place is: Dick’s Last Resort The joint your mama warned you about! - Eat, Drink and Be Wary! - Smart-ass Funny Staff! - Live Rock n’ Roll! - Controlled chaos! More paperwork???
From:  blogs.lynn.edu
Does it ever end!? I can’t stand paperwork and it seems like all it ever does is find its way back to me! And what is with all this mail doing here in my name? Only a few years ago the only mail I would get would be a package and it had to be a holiday. Now all I seem to see are forms and bills! I must add that the puppy dog look no longer works on my mother when it comes to forms. It’s horrible! Lucky Cristina, her mom still fills out her forms! So not fair. Read Full Story
