I know it’s been a while since I’ve written anything, Honestly, I didn’t want to write anything after we had lost Ally. My heart wasn’t in it and I’ve never forced myself to write blog posts before so I didn’t want to start now.
This past weekend, Lynn University held a beautiful memorial for our dear sister Ally who passed away. The reason why we waited a month was because of J-term, we wanted to make sure that all the sisters could attend. Sigma sisters from our chapter flew in from all... Read Full Story

I am excited to start 2012! I have a lot of hope for good things this year. I have a lot to be excited and to thankful for this year. I’m moving to Spain in August with my mom and my fur balls. I’m doing well in the masters program at Lynn and I’m enjoying my classes which is always a plus. I have great best friend and a bunch of sisters that keep my life interesting.
A new year brings a fresh start, which is kind of where I am at in parts of my life. I’m single for the first time in three... Read Full Story

My beautiful, smart, talented singer, always smiling sorority sister Ally Petrozzo has passed away.
This is by far one of the hardest things I have ever written about in all my years at Lynn. I’ve lost a sister. A beautiful young woman who was nothing short of an angel which makes this so much harder. I’m hurting and I am angry inside. It’s not fair. Ally was the sweetest person and everyone that ever got the chance to meet her knew it! She had a beautiful voice and used to sing the... Read Full Story

Merry Christmas everyone! I am currently in Philly with my family. I’m freezing and I am already missing the warmth of South Florida.
This year I got a lot of old family photos from my grandmother that she had found while cleaning out some old boxes. My mom cooked a ton of food. She had been cooking food for three days. I love Christmas!!! lol. My family is teasing me that I was eating.
Sorry to keep this short, but its actually hard typing on an Ipad 2. My aunt and her husband got it for... Read Full Story

This week I had to write 5 papers…. I’m only taking two classes. My fingers are so tired of typing and my eyes are sick of looking at my laptop screen. Even as a graduate student finals don’t get any easier. I’m tired and the last thing I want to see is a computer for about a week, or Google, or a textbook. I still don’t understand even after all these years why teachers and professors feel the need to give you a ton of work at the end of the semester. Hello, time management issues?
I... Read Full Story

I can officially say that my mom’s next assignment is Barcelona Spain! I am so excited!!!! Three years in a beautiful paradise. Finally my mom gets an assignment that is not a hardship post! I am so excited that next summer I am moving to Spain for 3 years!Right now I am looking into getting certified to become a... Read Full Story

I love this time of year! Florida is finally getting chilly. It’s like magic, over night people in hoodies show up soon as the first cool winter breeze hits South Florida. I love that I get a taste of winter without having to deal with all the negative side effects that come from it. No snow to remove from my car, no slipping on ice, no serious wind chill to have to deal with, but I do get to drink all the hot chocolate that I want till summer. I used to sometimes bring a large cup with my to... Read Full Story

Happy Thanksgiving Lynn University!
This year is a little different for me, I’m staying in Boca Raton since I cannot afford to go home for the holidays which may sound like a huge bummer but thanks to my amazing best friend Cristina who also is staying in town since she has to work early Friday morning, we are having Thanksgiving at her place. It may be different but we plan to make it a blast. We already have a list of our favorite foods and the recipes from home which is going to be... Read Full Story

So… a hard topic to write about. I lost my job. It’s not something that is easy to admit. I was in utter shock when it happened and I cried for about 3 days and I personally hate crying so everyone around me knew I was every upset. It was a huge surprise for me since I was just told I was doing very well. To say that I am still confused 2 weeks later is an annoying reality.
Lets just start off with, it royally sucks. To say that I feel like a failure is an understatement. But I try to... Read Full Story

Everyone seems to talk about the Freshmen 15. Parents warn you, the school nurse warns you, books warn you, and yet most students gain it. I personally lost weight when I first got to college and then gained it back so I ended up right back where I started. But that is not the focus of this post today!
Why is it that no one seems to talk about the weight students gain after graduation? Not to call anyone out but it seems that a lot of the graduates I hang out with that I knew all 4 years in... Read Full Story
