Thanksgiving Break
From:  lynn.edu
Well, my final Thanksgiving break as a student is coming to an end. It went ok. We had 3 basketball games.  But it was more than basketball this trip. First, we flew from West Palm to Atlanta to play North Georgia in Dahlonega, about an hour outside of Atlanta. We had some amazing meals here, a nice steak one night, then a country breakfast the next morning. In the game, we ended up losing, but we made improvements and saw how good we can be. Pascal came off the bench and scored a career high... Read Full Story
Home for Thanksgiving!
From:  lynn.edu
I’m home! I’m home! YIPPY!!! My two little angels have already covered me in a ton of cat fur. When I got home, my mom was still at work which gave me the chance to warm up from this crazy DC rain and get hugged and kissed by my two very loud cats. Finally, my mom came home and we watched a movie and now we are watching TV. We are planning our trip up to Philadelphia to spend Thanksgiving with my grandparents at my fav restaurant. I’m really excited. Here’s hoping th... Read Full Story
An Interesting Video With a Life Lesson
From:  lynn.edu
I was on espn.com today and was watching some videos and stumbled upon this one that was really interesting. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4620840 It’s a piece on a kid Matt Ziesel who plays football. He’s not just any kid though. He was born with down syndrome and has a love for sports. His team was losing 46-0 with 10 seconds left and the coach called a timeout and approached the opposing coach and explained he wanted to get Matt a touchdown and the coach agreed. Matt ra... When is there food?
From:  lynn.edu
This morning for some strange reason, I woke up at 8:30 and was washed and dressed by 9:30. I went to the caf only to find out it was closed. Christines isn’t open on the weekends and the Knights Court doesn’t open until 11am. I was starving and I couldn’t figure out when the caf would open for breakfast. I looked and looked online and couldn’t seem to figure out where I would find the hours for the caf so I just gave  up, went back to my room, threw on my PJ’s, ... Read Full Story
Founders Day!
From:  lynn.edu
Yestorday was Lynn University’s Founders Day. Once again, I ate myself sick. Three years in a row, I found all the good tents and stations and threw caution to the wind. The last two years, I had to work so I really couldn’t fully enjoy all the events of Founders Day, but this year, I was free all evening to eat great food, chill with friends, enjoy the band, and well, eat more food. lol. I can’t remember the name of the company, but they created mini doughnuts infront of yo... Read Full Story
How My Role Has Changed
From:  lynn.edu
Every year since I’ve started with the program my role has changed, whether it be a little or a lot. My sophmore year I was only responsible for the other managers and team equipment. My junior year I added film edits, and well this year my role has changed tremendously. I am helping with setting up our shootarounds for our overnight conference games, I am getting more involved in drills, I am in charge of our new laptop and learning all the ins and outs to it and the programs we use on... Stuck in my room
From:  lynn.edu
Of course, I got sick, again. Alright, to start from the beginning. I finally got to see my mommy! I had been looking forward to it for weeks. Sadly, soon as I finally get to spend time with my mom, she get sick, and more then happily passed it on to me.  I was fine for a few days until suddenly, I had a light cough. My first thought, uh oh. All I could remember is my mother saying, “I wouldn’t give this to my worst enemy.” Thanks mom… I think. Tuesday, BSU had our kic... Read Full Story
Every Role Is Important
From:  lynn.edu
One thing that most people fail to realize in business and in life is everybody plays a role and none is more important than another. If you look at a car for example, the engine has a particular job, as do the lugnuts. Now you could have the best engine known to mankind, but if you don’t have lugnuts, what good does the engine do. The car can’t go anywhere because the wheels will fall off. I know that’s not the world’s greatest example, but it emphasizes my point. Jus... Read Full Story
Bake Sales and Breast Cancer Walks
From:  lynn.edu
Last week, Black Student Union held a dollar bake sale to raise money for our upcoming events. I had a lot of fun with the bake sale. I learned that my VP Megan is amazing at selling baked goods! She had people dancing in the student center, giving away bags of chips if they showed us their best dance move. At the end of the three days, we made a lot of money for selling all good for a dollar or under. We were shocked as a club that just by selling two brownies for a dollar or four cookies fo... Tips About Men
From:  lynn.edu
So I’d like to give some tips to women about men. I’ve had girls come to me wanting to know about what men think or why we do certain things, so here is a useful guide. I stole some of these from an email, but most guys think this way. All of these are labeled number 1 for a reason. 1) Men are not mind readers 1) Ask for what you want, Subtle hints don’t work! Strong hints don’t work! Obvious hints don’t work! JUST SAY IT! 1) Crying is blackmail 1) Anything we sa... Read Full Story
