Click on picture to enlarge Robin's Woods is located in a forested area on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Our largest industry is logging, and at the end of the summer, we have lots of what is called "slash" piles in the logged areas, waiting to be burned during the damp and rainy winter season. Despite the fact that logging is a necessary industry, I find the presence of these slash piles sad and a little depressing to look at, but they do have their own unique beauty as well... This week, I would like to say a big Thank You to Brits Pub in Pasadena, California, for serving the best traditional English fish and chips dinner I've had since I was a kid.
