I cooled off big time after my hot start to the year. I took 3 normal Mon-Fri days off during the month (New Years Day, my birthday (30th) & Paula's birthday (29th), but I made a tad less than $50K on the month. So far this year I've made the most money on my 4th site, but I don't expect that to be the case over the course of the entire year.

I started playing $1Ks & $2Ks again today. For one, I'm pretty close to on pace for supernova elite & might be able to get it without really trying to if I mix in $1Ks. I looked into the profitability of the games & I just can't pass up the edge just because of variance. I've started to register for $1K+ on all 4 sites, although I don't expect many to run outside of Pokerstars & Full Tilt for now. I'm sure there will be rough patches where I won't play them but I'd like to stick with them for the long haul. The only thing that sucks about playing 4 sites is you have to have to keep a much bigger bankroll online so you can handle the swings on each site. I wish there was a way to just combine the bankrolls of all the sites so I didn't have to try to move money around when I hit a rough patch on 1 site, & therefore wouldn't have to keep as much money on overall.

Congrats to my boy Kenny05 who finished 12th in the Borgata $3K for $39K, which he splits w/ his staker. It sucked cause he was chip leader pretty deep but oh well.

Despite the first 3 quarters being awful the super bowl actually turned out to be very good. I was really rooting for the Cardinals though. I'm a big Larry Fitz fan (MN!)& have lots of relatives in AZ. I also often root for the underdog. At least it was a good game.

I'd like to say that Al Jefferson not making the NBA all star game is a complete joke. It's not his fault that his team sucks. He's 1 of 3 players in the NBA that's averaging 20 & 10 and it's pathetic that he's not on the team. Good players on good teams in the NBA are just as overrated as QBs who win super bowls. Some idiot on ESPN today was saying he'd rather have Big Ben than Peyton Manning. News flash: Big Ben didn't win the super bowl by himself. Football is a team game. In fact, he had the #1 defense in the league. He's asked to do a lot less for his team than Manning & to even think about putting those 2 in the same sentence is absurd.

No this is not a joke. The guy is serious. When he speaks of the $500 tournies, he's referring to tournies with a $500 prize pool, not the buy-in.
