Ashley Tisdale riding with her puppy
Ashley Tisdale riding with her puppy: Ashley Tisdale may be stepping back into her High School Musical character Sharpay's shoes for her recently released spin-off Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, but she's certainly come a long way since she initiated the role! At the time, the 'Tis had no idea the Disney film would be able to afford her a lifestyle that includes sports cars, the Birkin and Balenciaga bags in her hand and studded Uggs. "After the first movie it was really funny I... Read Full Story

In the recent discussion around the proposed cuts of tobacco taxes in the state of New Hampshire, I have noticed that nobody is talking about the effect such a move might have on our kids’ health. Last year, New Jersey proposed reducing its tax 30 cents, to $2.40 per pack, but hasn’t followed through. And it shouldn’t. The fiscal concerns aside, tobacco taxes are one of the most effective resources we have in preventing our youth from smoking before the age of 18. We will pay a high... Read Full Story

It seemed the whole world was watching as the pair tangled. One man wasn’t watching. “What happened?’’ inquired Sir Alex Ferguson on Monday. The Manchester United manager was sitting backstage in this wonderful stadium, occupying a pew where England’s then coach, Sven-Goran Eriksson, had to defend Rooney for his dismissal for stamping on the Portuguese centre-half in their World Cup quarter-final. In a world increasingly getting attuned to information technology, it certainly makes sense for Bangladesh to come level with other nations where easy, electronic means of a supply of information is concerned. The launch of the e-book by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday was, we believe, a good step forward in taking Bangladesh into modernity as it is meant to be. As we understand, the availability of 106 textbooks online is an encouraging beginning towards providing education to all... Read Full Story
'Dancing' recap: Shake it, baby

The Dancing With the Stars announcer pretty much summed it up in the first minute of the show: the guiltiest pleasure is ballroom dancing. And just in case that wasn't a big enough clue as to Monday's theme, a ginormous pink "Guilty Pleasures" sign hung over the bandstand. Romeo took us back to the day he became Romeo: the day he saw Titanic as an 8-year-old. Not surprisingly, he picked Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On for his waltz with Chelsie Hightower. The two were outfitted in... Read Full Story

The image of Philippe Gilbert winning the Liege-Bastogne-Liege in Belgium should be looked at by new Australian GreenEDGE team as a signal that he is the marquee foreigner they need to sign. GreenEDGE will have a great pool of Australian talent to tap into and officially court when the Union Cycliste Internationale's August 1 date arrives to start negotiations. But as the new face in the peloton, the Australian team will still need a foreign star. And with general manager Shayne Bannan... Read Full Story
