Migraine Relief From Oxygen
Science Daily reports, for today's news snippet, how oxygen therapy might ease migraine pain. The study, carried out at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, reviewed the content and quality of nine existing trials and found a significant increase in the proportion of patients who had relief with oxygen compared to sham therapy. This is a far more complicated (but none the less welcome) version of my own personal study into the use of oxygen to relieve migraine. My simple tip is merely to... Read Full Story
Migraines and the Weather
A few weeks ago I mentioned a new article on my website about a sufferer's experiences of Migraines and the Weather So I was interested to find another article on the same subject: How to handle the dreaded barometric pressure headache Read the article above for more information and to learn about a scientific study at Jefferson Medical College to compare the reactions to weather of migraine sufferers and a control group. There are links to other helpful sites, and some tips on how to... Read Full Story
Migraine and Magnets
Magnotherapy for migraines is a topic covered in my ebook, so it's good to find reports of a study testing a pain-free, hand-held device that sends a magnetic pulse into the head. The noninvasive device delivers a therapy known as transcranial magnetic stimulation, or TMS. It appears, from the results, described here, that this may bring relief to some migraine sufferers. Dr. Yousef Mohammad, of The Ohio State University in Columbus, reported the findings at the annual meeting of the... Read Full Story
Butterbur and Belladonna
Continuing on the theme of natural remedies for migraine, you'll find two further articles on my articles page. One describes how a sufferer found relief from migraines using belladonna. A second reports just a couple of trials looking into the use of butterbur for migraine. For both these remedies, (especially belladonna, which can be toxic) you are recommended to consult a fully qualified and registered complementary therapy practitioner. Read Full Story
Another Social - June 2008
June 2008 brought another social in the 1st Steps calendar. As usual, plenty of dancing, and everyone brings something for the finger buffet. A great evening out. We were pleased to welcome some who had recently joined our classes. Although they'd worried they wouldn't be able to dance, they were soon on their feet and dancing away. If anyone is unsure of the steps, stand in the middle and there's always someone close at hand to help out. After all - we can all remember our hesitant 1st... Read Full Story

Designing a Supplement Program
Nutrition 4 All Health and Well-Being Newsletter Eat Your Way to Better Health June 2008 Apologies for the late/missed newsletter last time, but I have been side-tracked onto a project that, as is so often the case for me and "webby" things, took far longer than I expected it to. I've been having new web-pages designed for one of my services, and while the hard work was done by my web-designer, I had some input to make in the form of content. Finally, it's finished and at the end of... Read Full Story

e-Lottery and uVme - New Marketing Plans
It's been a little while since I posted here, because the changes in BOTH marketing plans, at the same time, have kept me busy. Although I had initial reservations to any changes, I'm feeling very positive again and recommend these businesses and their new plans whole-heartedly. uVme: on-line skill games Let's be honest, it was a shaky start to a brilliant concept, but it's a rare business that gets it right first time. What's important is that the company takes on feedback and learns... Read Full Story
