Intel bets on the rebound to come
Today, Intel announced $7 billion investment in upgrades to its US plants. http://tinyurl.com/ah6bdr   On NPR, CEO Paul Otellini stated that investment in technology results in increases productivity and effeciency and that those who are not prepared for the economic rebound to come stand to lose much more. Microsoft continues to build search technology team
Seems like Microsoft has decided that it doesn't have to buy Yahoo to get its search technology, they can just hire the brains behind it. In the last two months they have hired Qi Lu, who was EVP of search engineering technology and Sean Suchter who ran Yahoo's search engine. Do they really think they can take on Google?
