And they have Arrived.
I am so happy, oh so happy. Everything has come together and I am now heading off to DC sometime this week for the Inauguration. I have ran into quite a few other people that will be attending. It is somewhat weird, I never really thought that I would meet other people that would go to a presidential inauguration. Heck, I never thought I would ever care enough to go to one myself. I am excited though. I think it is going to be crazy chaotic there in DC, but I think I will have a good time. Read Full Story
Mr. Grump and the Inauguration Tickets!
I am sure at least someone is out there wondering where I have been. Well, frankly, after the election ended, I crashed. I mean, I was suddenly lost. I had so much focus and juice flowing through me for the campaign and doing everything I could. It was a race, you know, do everything you can in the smallest amount of time, and then YAY VICTORY! then…. “Now what?” I’ve been stuck on the “now what” for awhile now. I think I am finally coming around. I’... Read Full Story
Too much, but oh so fun!
I’ve been playing far too much World of Warcraft. I love it though. I can’t help it, after being so intensely involved in a political process I just needed the mindlessness that a video game offers. It’s much more fun than a home console system though, in my opinion because I can play with my friends who live all over the country, or even my neighbors. My favorite class is a paladin. It’s to the point where I have a hard time playing any other classes because I just l... Read Full Story
From the trail
While out on the campaign trail I met this great volunteer who came to Indiana from California, though he was actually born in the area I was at,  name Joe (and no, he wasn’t a plumber) but he asked me a question, which I thought was funny, but then realized, maybe a lot of people are wondering the same thing. A long road, but change is here
It’s been months and months and months since I began working for the Obama campaign and yesterday made it all completely worth it. The long hours were worth every ounce of energy I poured into them and I cannot say how proud I am of my country right now. Read Full Story
Beware of Fire!
It’s hot! When I was a kid, around like ten or eleven, I would walk through burning hot coals. I remember some shoes getting burned and one pair even melting. When I was at a “party” with a bon fire a bunch of us were jumping over the fire, so I decided to try walking throught it. Of course, everyone thought I was crazy and told me I was after I did it. Go figure. Looking at it now, that was pretty stupid of me. At that age I was not really afraid of much though. I was very... Read Full Story
You Might Be Wondering
You might be wondering where in the world I am at. My blog posts have clearly slowed down, but as you can probably imagine that is with good reason. Working a campaign is intense and takes incredible resilience on some levels. The tolerance I have to have when dealing with certain types of people has made me realize just how much patience I have. That’s a good thing, I think. I know some people have requested that they get every detail of this endeavor as I am going through it, which I... Read Full Story
Oh Look, The TRUTH….
I cannot really tell you how frustrating these ads have been that are claiming one thing or another about Obama that just simply is not true. This is a great video that does side  by side comparisons to show the truth, I suggest you give it a listen whether you like Obama or not, there is no denying that the McCain campaign is relying on questionable tactics. Reflections on Leaving the Party - By Susan Eisenhower
Reflections on Leaving the Party by Susan Eisenhower 08.21.2008 http://www.nationalinterest.org/Article.aspx?id=19618 I have decided I can no longer be a registered Republican. For the first time in my life I announced my support for a Democratic candidate for the presidency, in February of this year. This was not an endorsement of the Democratic platform, nor was it a slap in the face to the Republican Party. It was an expression of support specifically for Senator Barack Obama. I had alway... whispers
Just as the harshness of the cold prickles against my skin, she touches me, instantly making a warmth flow through me, calming my nervousness, which allows me to breathe. Her words trickle down the hallow well, whispering…”you’ll be okay,” awakening a droplet of strength that blooms a flower of will. I cinder, cooling from the fires below, trying not to crumble into ashes. Sometimes the face of life is ugly, but you must treat it like it were any other. Take the pain ... Read Full Story
