Squidoo vs Hubpages vs Ezinearticles
About 2 weeks ago I put up two new Squidoo lenses, two new hubpages, and two new articles on Ezinearticles, promoting my ecommerce site, Baby Bedding Zone. In all three cases, they were targeting the same two keyphrases.
I haven’t done any promotion of any of them yet, so I expected them all to have pretty much the same (low) traffic from a few long tail searches. The results I actually got were quite surprising:
Squidoo: 7 visits to one lens, 2 to the other, for a total of 9
Hubpages: 22 visits to one hub, 7 to the other, for a total of 29
Ezinearticles: 65 views to one article, 41 to the other, for a total of 106!
Now none of these traffic numbers are stunning or anything, but I was really surprised to find that Ezinearticles produced almost triple the traffic of Hubpages and Squidoo combined. Also, because Ezinearticles has a review process that takes about a week, my articles published there have been live for about half as long as my Squidoo and Hubpages content.
If you’re not currently using Ezinearticles as a content host - you might want to think again.
