A PSP Go clone that goes for only $90? You can bet your knickers there’s going to be a catch. First of all, the clone is bigger, significantly bigger.
Second, the plastic just isn’t the same. The buttons on the PXP-2000 are clickety, the slide-out action lacking in snap. Screen resolution and screen size seem OK, but don’t bothre expecting a few pre-loaded 64-bit Nintendo games. Sure the makers of the PXP-2000 leave a lot to be desired in terms of construction but did Tweet... Read Full Story

Aside from running on A... Read Full Story
SciPhone brings us one of the first Android dual-SIM phones available at the moment. (For a real quick unboxing video in French, scroll to the end of this post.) The SciPhone N21 has been available for a month now but we have yet to come across a video of the Android-based SciPhone. Beareyes, has an unboxing going on in their site. Oddly, Engadget’s logo makes a cameo (anyone know for what strange reason a test unit meant for Engadget ended up at this Chinese site, leave a comment belo... Read Full Story
For all the talk about HD PMP player, we have yet to see a portable with enough screen resolution to play HD videos without being connected to a bigger screen, until now. The Japanese (surprise, surprise) will have first dibs of this magical device with the 4.3-inch 1280 x 720p LCD screen. Yes the Harrods F43 plays 720p videos natively. That is quite amazing in itself. Just to prove its point, the Hallods F43 doesn’t have HDMI out, though there’s regular TV out. Unfortunately the ... Read Full Story
ITG has made a good thing with the xpPhone. It may not sell like the iPhone but the hard cold fact that it will run Windows XP when it comes out is enough to make you want to talk about it with almost anyone you meet. Yeah, it’s a phone but it’s a computer, too, a real one, with Windows XP. Got it? The makers are calling the xpPhone a breakthrough (cellphone, GPS, notebook), and with good reason. For a phone, the AMD AMD Super Mobile CPU and 1GB RAM (along with WiFi, 3G,5MP camer... Read Full Story
Palm has just released webOS 1.3.1 update for the Palm Pre, but unlike their webOS 1.2.1, doesn’t come with a fix to address the Apple disabled iTunes syncing. Have they given up the fight? We don’t exactly know, but what we’re certain of is that webOS 1.3.1 does come with a lot of goodies in the bag. With this latest webOS firmware installed on your Palm Pre, you can now sync Yahoo! contacts and calendar in Synergy, watch widescreen videos in widescreen mode by default, forward and copy SMS/... One thing I seriously don’t like with the BlackBerry App World is that it’s limited to PayPal account owners only. It’s a prerequisite before you can start downloading apps from the App World, which to be honest, is quite a hassle. Fortunately though, RIM big boss Jim Balsillies has just announced that their planning to ditch this method and further simplify it via carrier billing. Through this new scheme, the paid apps you download will be incorporated into your carrier’s monthly... Read Full Story

The Apple iTablet (aka Macbook Touch, Macbook Nano Touch or whatever else you may call it) is a pretty exciting prospect, but at the end of the day, is still just a rumor. This sexy Vega tablet PC from ICD (Innovative Converged Devices), fortunately, isn’t.
