Nursery Idea: Disney Cars
| From : kidsbedroomideas.net

Not sure what took so long, but they’ve finally come out with some Disney Cars bedding options for the nursery. (Actually, Disney is pretty slow about anything for the nursery other than Pooh .) But now McQueen and Mater are here and ready to make a stop in your little boy’s baby room. My favorite of the sets available is the  Disney Cars Junior Junction Fast Friends Crib Set  over at Target. I think I just like the fact that it’s not blue! The warm colors give you some great choices in... Read Full Story

2011 Challenge: Diamonds Royale - Neutral

Neutral version of this pattern, which I have to say will never be my favorite. Just can't get that mitered corner to work right at the point where it meets the quilt center. Anyway, this was a great opportunity to use up most of that red teddy bear fabric that went into the borders, as well as some odd kinds of solids in the center. I'm kind of liking how it came out (from this far away!). One of the problems I have with this pattern is that I just can't seem to come up with anything... Read Full Story

Tools of the Trade Twin Bed
This is just the coolest thing I have seen in a while! I always struggle a bit with just how to do an artist bedroom theme. It can go in so many different directions that pinning down just what you want can be tough. But this bed? The perfect signature piece to kick off the theme. It’s called the Tools of the Trade bed. While the tools aren’t strictly all artist tools (it’s really meant more as a back to school feel), it definitely works with that theme. Only thing I wish was different was... Read Full Story

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz – Did you know this was a book? I didn’t until a few years ago when I saw it on my best friend’s shelf. It’s an entire series, actually. Frank Baum made a lot of trips to Oz. Which left me intrigued as to just what was in the books. I already knew the shoes in the books are silver, but there are quite a few other differences as well, some of which actually made parts of Wicked make more sense. (The book. The musical is a bit more attuned to the movie.) Anyway... Read Full Story
Teen Bedroom Ideas: Kicking it with Roxy bedding
| From : kidsbedroomideas.net

As girls get older, there comes a point when they’re ready to ditch the stuffed animals and think a little more grown up with their bedroom decor. But grown-up doesn’t have to mean stuffy. Nor does it have to mean super themed like a little kids room might be. No, a teen bedroom can be mature but fun. A good place to start for a lot of teen girls would be with Roxy bedding designs. Roxy is a surfing brand and has translated that fun into its bedding. One of the ones I love best is the... Read Full Story
Dallas Cowboys Helmets - The Perfect Gift for the Fan in Your Life
| From : squidoo.com
Published to Dallas Cowboys
Got a Dallas Cowboys fan in your life? Nothing makes a better gift idea than a Dallas Cowboys helmet. Now, wait a minute, it doesn't have to be a helmet to wear. (Unless they get really rough and tumble while watching the game!) How about a collectible autographed by one of the greats like Roger Staubauch or a current player like Tony Romo? How about a miniature replica helmet they can keep on their desk? How about decor for their Dallas Cowboys man (or woman) cave? Or something really... Read Full Story
Fit to be knit(ting)

And I’m not apparently. If anything, my adventures in knitting so far have taught me I don’t know how to count nor connect the dots as to what I do wrong when I make an obvious mistake. My little practice square – in which I took different stitches out for a ride – looks like a potholder made by a kindergartener. A demented kindergartener. Trying out a scarf now in a ribbed pattern. Only had to rip it apart and start over twice now. And it still has issues although they are getting fewer as... Read Full Story
Toddler Bedroom Ideas: Fun storage for books
| From : kidsbedroomideas.net

Books can be a fun part of a toddler’s bedroom decor. Especially given the fact that toddler’s books are so colorful and frequently make great decorating themes on their own. But trying to keep them organized can be tough. (Until you’ve trained your toddler to put things on a shelf.) But these cute book buggee’s from P’kolino combine the fun of a toy with their favorite books. These wood carts have fully rolling wheels and a pull string long enough for your toddler to use to pull their... Read Full Story
That’s just motorcycle drool

Oh my. I would never have thought I would say this but I have my eye on a Harley. A Fat Boy Lo to be specific. Test rode one the other day and I just really liked how it felt. Not to mention how handy that sixth gear would be at highway speeds that normally vibrate me to death. Trying to decide if I just stick with what I have (which needs a paint job regardless) or go ahead and make the switch. Decisions, decisions. (it would help if the bike actually came is some fun colors and not just... Read Full Story
