Not sure what took so long, but they’ve finally come out with some Disney Cars bedding options for the nursery. (Actually, Disney is pretty slow about anything for the nursery other than Pooh .) Neutral version of this pattern, which I have to say will never be my favorite. Just can't get that mitered corner to work right at the point where it meets the quilt center. Anyway, this was a great opportunity to use up most of that red teddy bear fabric that went into the borders, as well as some odd kinds of solids in the center. This is just the coolest thing I have seen in a while! I always struggle a bit with just how to do an artist bedroom theme. It can go in so many different directions that pinning down just what you want can be tough. But this bed? The perfect signature piece to kick off the theme. It’s called the Tools of the Trade bed. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz – Did you know this was a book? I didn’t until a few years ago when I saw it on my best friend’s shelf. It’s an entire series, actually. Frank Baum made a lot of trips to Oz. Which left me intrigued as to just what was in the books.
