This is my first dSLR and it has converted me into an avid photographer. It takes great pictures in auto mode and is amazingly simple to use. I bought this for my daughter , who is getting serious about photography. This camera is a great entry level and then also has some intermediate features. It takes awesome photos and is easy to use. I did a lot of research before selecting a DSLR, and the Canon Digital Rebel XSi was great for the price point and capability. It's an excellent camera for those who are moving up from a point and shoot.I primarily use it for shooting at college hockey games.
