So I received an email from one job board, and the wording has a rather pornographic feel to it. The subject is:
Fresh jobs just in from CV-library - 24/02/2009
It's as if the admin is really saying: "Never mind cultivating any of the opportunities that we posted earlier. Don't pay that much attention. Just give us your eyeballs for more fresh jobs. That's how we do recruiting: stacks of people, stacks of jobs, and the occasional odd match."
Fresh, hot jobs.

Too much time has elapsed since I checkced out the iprofile website. I decided to go back on to see whether they've come as far as they said they would when last I talked with them.
TO refresh, iProfile has a service whereby you can create an online CV which can then be reused among various recruiter websites. So the other day I happened upon a job posting for a company called Concep. I'm sure it's a lovely company. They were advertising for a "Marketing Executive." For some goofy reason I clicked on the job description, and found out that this "Executive" would be paid £28,000 annually. Not in the outskirts of Hyderabad, but right here in London. It was an entry level job. Why in the world would this company refer to this position as an "executive" position? P... Read Full Story
