the pleasure post

i think that we all have little oddities that bring us pleasure.  driving in the car last night on the way home from wal-mart, i discovered an interesting anomaly about myself.  i was waiting a red light in the turn lane and had my turn indicator blinker on, seeing as how i am a considerate driver.  ::side note:: i hate people that drive and don’t use their blinkers.  they just stop and turn.  how inconsiderate do you have to be to do this?  how hard is it to shift the turn indicator blinker lever into the up or down position?

i digress.  so i’m sitting in the turn lane with my blinker on.  i have the radio on at a reasonable volume level.  loud enough to hear clearly, but low enough to hear the “click, click, click” of the blinker droning in the background.  now, i can’t tell you which song was on the radio at this exact point in time but the clicking of the blinker perfectly matched in sync with the tempo of the song.

i was overwhelmed with joy about this.  in all my years of driving and riding in cars, i don’t think this has ever happened before.  i mean, i’ve thought about how satisfying it would be if that did ever happen, but i didn’t know just how much pleasure i could actually get from it.
