Scrapin confession time
I don’t shop at the LSS.
Please don’t shoot me yet! I have tried, really I have. There is just something about walking into a store and having an owner's eyes on me while doing my shopping that makes me cringe. "Are you going to buy something? Well are ya? Are ya?"
There is so much talk online about LSS' closing, which in part seems to want to make people like me feel guilty. The fact of life is that businesses flop, even when you have an organized business and a good plan. Its hard to open any business, much less a scrapbook store, which unlike a dollar store does not have a massive amount of people flocking to it.
Not that I wish LSS owners any bad luck at all; of course, the more competition the better. It's great that they love this hobby, but I don’t want to feel guilty that I choose not to shop at their store.
Admittedly it's may be my misconception; however, if someone wants to feel comfortable shopping, can you begrudge them that? Well perhaps you could, so I apologize to all LSS owners, but between the prices and those eyes, I will not be seeing you again anytime soon.
