Hot MMORPG Babes
One thing I noticed about most free to play MMORPGs is that they tend to have at least one big breasted female character – whether it’s an NPC or simply game art. Perhaps the game most ‘notorious’ for over utilizing big breasted women to attract gamers is Evony – a rather new strategy browser game. Nearly every single of the game’s banners feature some sort of inappropriately dressed chick in a provocative position. You really can’t blame the folks behind Evony though – as their marketing ca... What the Heck is Uforia Doing?
Uforia is a relatively new free to play MMORPG publisher on the block – one of the newest actually. I really have no clue what they’re thinking though. You’d imagine that a NEW game publisher would try to ‘start off’ on a good foot by launching with some epic new games – but nope. Uforia launched their MMORPG service with a fairly old game called NosTale. NosTale isn’t bad – but the game was already being published in North America by another game company – so it didn’t exactly make sense fo... Read Full Story
Celestial Destroyer MMORPG Review
Having once been a student of Chinese culture and history, I’m all for a good Asian themed or martial arts MMORPG. Like many of its kind, however, Celestial Destroyer proved to be a generic grind fest. The game is actually an older version of the popular Jade Dynasty game released in North America. Produced by Cubizone, who runs such games as Soul of the Ultimate Nation and Battle of Destiny in Malaysia, Celestial Destroyer quickly proved it wasn’t worth its time. A Confusing Start Character... All in One MMORPG Account
Sometimes I wish that every single free to play MMORPG was easily accessible on ONE website. I’m not talking about an MMORPG Review site like MMOHut – I’m talking about one massive MMORPG game publisher. Instead of Aeria Games publishing 8 or so games and OG Planet 4, Gamers First publishing 5 – imagine ALL of these games being published on ONE site. There are easily 120+ free to play games out there so this would make sense. I mean, just like at this huge list of MMORPGs. Some of you may be... Read Full Story
Fun Free MMO Games
I’ve been trying to get myself to play a lot of Free MMOGs lately, note that I did say ‘MMO’ and not ‘MMORPG’. For those that don’t know the difference – an MMORPG is a massively multiplayer online role playing game while an MMOG is a massively multiplayer online game. The key distinction is that an MMOG does not have to be an RPG. For example, a shooting game like Battlefield Heroes is an MMO rather than an MMORPG – because even though it’s multiplayer it doesn’t have the core RPG of ... Read Full Story
Latest Wave of Free MMORPGs
As most free MMORPG gamers already know – more and more free to play games are being released every month. This isn’t too surprising though – as more and more game publishers are trying to hit it big by releasing a blockbuster game. What is surprising though is that the quality of these free to play MMORPGs is improving… quite fast. Perhaps the most impressive free to play game I played recently was Dungeons and Dragons Online. The game has drop dead gorgeous graphics some interesting gamepla... Read Full Story
New Free to play MMORPGs Rock
After playing two of the most recent free to play MMORPGs to hit the market, Dragonica and Dungeons & Dragons Online, I am yet again impressed by the quality of free to play games. Free MMORPG games are just getting better and better. A long time ago – the term ‘free to play’ was usually associated with low quality poorly translated games, but today that stereotype is largely gone. Games like Dragonica, Atlantica Online and Runes of Magic feel just as ‘high quality’ as pay to play games ... Read Full Story
MMORPGs Need Better Quests
MMORPG developers have gotten way too lazy when it comes to designing quests. Almost every single quest in any MMORPG involves either role playing as a FedEx driver [Take this item and give it to an NPC named John Thunderhoof across town!] or a genocidal maniac [Kill 50 Baby Gnolls, 20 Mother Gnolls and 10 Gnoll Brutes]. Personally, kill quests in MMORPGs are an excellent distraction from mindless grinding, but I feel that quests should add a little more variety to the game. MMORPGs like Run... Read Full Story
Third person vs. First Person MMO Shooters
There are quite a bit of MMO shooters on the market, most of them first person, some of them third person. Everyone has their preference, but I feel that third person shooters require more skill, mainly because players have a lot more to focus on than just a cross hair. Using the camera effectively in a third person shooter is extremely important and can be the difference between a kill and a death. This is especially true in games like Battlefield Heroes and GunZ where players are given suc... Read Full Story
Are Free to Play games better than pay to play ones?
For a long time, pay to play games like World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online were considered untouchable, but as it stands the MMORPG market is evolving. More and more free MMORPG games are being released every week while only one or two major pay to play MMORPGs are being released every year. Just because there are a lot of free to play games though doesn’t mean any of them are really ‘great’, but I can safely say that the ‘latest generation’ of free to play titles are downright amazing. ...
